Female patients 18 and over with symptoms of a urinary tract infection between 24-96 hours of presenting to the clinic for urinalysis confirmation. Symptoms must include two of the following: frequency, urgency, pain or burning on voiding, or suprapubic pain.
Duration: 28 days with 4 clinic visits. Day 1, Day 5, Day 12, and Day 28 end of the study.
There is no placebo for this trial and the investigational drug will be compared to amoxicillin, an already-approved antibiotic.
Compensation: $225, $75 per visit completed.
Procedures: physical exam, symptom questionnaires, vitals, and lab work.
